YoSekai! is currently being put together but before we launch like a Trojan sneaking into Troy I’d like to take some time here and post an open call for volunteers.
If you’re into web design, an aspiring writer, roving reporter, savvy videographer or someone who has something awesome to contribute then I would love to hear from you. All the more so if you are based in Japan although this isn’t a necessity as we also have contributors from the U.K and the U.S. so you ask…
What is Yo Sekai!
YoSekai! is at its pure beating heart a blog that culture smashes Japan and the rest of the world. If we were a person we would fly the banner of a otaku, video games, anime, technology and all of the weird and wonderful we can shove into this tiny bit of web space we call home. Can we be any more specific? Why yes, yes we can!
Reviews of products, food shenanigans, weekly op-ed pieces, events coverage, photo galleries and interviews with people we and hopefully you would care about are to name but a few of the items we plan on presenting.
That being said, we love news, it drives the world and connects people (or at the very least gives us something to argue about) so from time to time you may find a country specific item that is more serious in tone but still just as interesting.
Our Goal
Above all else we want to provide informative and exciting content that will at the very least leave people wanting to come back for more. Now, we’re a relatively new group so we don’t have financial backers or a huge fanbase and the internet is a big place to try and make your mark but nothing ventured, nothing gained or as a Japanese quote goes:
(Koketsu ni irazunba koji wo ezu) Literally: If you do not enter the tiger’s cave, you will not catch its cub.
As we grow you shall too and we like to think that you’ll enjoy contributing here while honing your talents if your new or presenting your already finely-crafted skill set to a new demographic.
So there you have it, if you’re intrested in joining us on our march towards certain death success and would like to know more then contact admin@yosekai.com. We can’t wait to flex our figurative muscles and get started and we look forward to hearing back from readers and prospective team members alike.
